Create What Inspires You

“Create what inspires you.”

“We do not find ourselves. We create ourselves.”

Create what inspires you!

That doesn’t just include your latest artistic creation. That could be the person you want to be, the kind of life you want to have, the kind of future you want to live. Living is an act of creation. We do not go about finding ourselves, we create it.

What one action can you take this month to start creating what inspires you?

Today, I am starting a new series on my blog: Once a month – the first Saturday of every month – I would like to start giving you a creative challenge. It’s meant to get those creative juices following and to give you something to ponder on over the course of the month ahead.

Are you ready for your first challenge? Here it is:

Do you have a hobby that you haven’t worked on in a long time, but wish you could get back into? Did you use to draw, but don’t anymore? Write songs, but fell out of it? Sew costumes but ran out of time to do it? Did you use to love making films, but stopped doing it? What’s your art, your craft, your passion that you recently (or for a long time) stopped doing?

Write it down. Put it on a post-it note, put it on your fridge or computer or bathroom mirror. Because now, I challenge you to do it!

Save this blog post. I want you to come back and comment with pictures/videos/etc of what you have worked on! Get those creative juices flowing and come back here to show them off below in the comments.

I look forward to seeing what you will all do!

If you need some inspiration for getting started, I have created another coloring page to help you get warmed up:

You can download a pdf file of it here: CreateYourself_ColoringPage

(AND if you want even MORE inspiration, come back next Saturday for a special guest post from  Brianna Hatcher about creative Bullet Journaling.

Alright, get out there, get creating, and come back here and comment with your new creations!

  1. Such a lovely post. I used to draw (even though I’m not very good at it) as I found it relaxing. I really need to start up again!

Also, thanks for the colouring pages. 🙂

    1. You should definitely get some drawing in again! I’d love to see what you do. 😀

And your welcome. I hope you enjoy! <3
