365 Day: Week 1

Week 1 on my 365 day charity project is finished! The first 7 works of the year have been completed! (1 week down, 51 more to go! 7 days down, 358 to go! Yikes!)

Day 1: “Little Green Orchid”
This painting was inspired by a photograph. You can see the photographer’s original piece here: Orchid Photo Reference
With permission, I used it as reference for my painting.
Size: 3.5 x 2.5 inches
Medium: acrylic paint
Price: $7 (+$1 shipping)

Day 2: “Hello, My Friend” Silhouette
Size: 3.5 x 2.5 inches
Medium: watercolor and black acrylic paint
Price: $7 (+$1 shipping)

Day 3: “Life’s a Breeze”
This painting was inspired by a photograph. You can see the photographer’s original piece here: Hummingbird Photo Reference
With permission, I used it as reference for my painting.
Size: 2.5 x 3.5 inches
Medium: acrylic paint
Price: $7 (+$1 shipping)

Day 4:
“Mama, the universe is cold, isn’t it?”
“No, so. Here, let me show you…”
Just something from my imagination.
Size: 2.5 x 3.5 inches
Medium: white charcoal on black paper
Price: $7 (+$1 shipping)

Day 5: “Hidden Among My Stripes”
Size: 5 x 7 inches
Medium: ink
Price: $15 (+$1.50 shipping)

Day 6: “A Pittsburgh Suburb”
A sketch of tree I saw growing into, through, over, and along a sidewalk in a suburb of Pittsburgh.
I cheer for that tree. One of the roots literally lined the sidewalk and followed it down the way.
Size: 3.5 x 2.5 inches
Medium: graphite pencil
Price: $7 (+$1 shipping)

Day 7: “The Domino Fairy”
The Domino Fairy – such a troublemaker he is! Watch out for him. He’ll topple your domino project when you aren’t looking!
Size: 3.5 x 2.5 inches
Medium: graphite pencils
Price: $7 (+$1 shipping)

And that concludes week one!
I hope you like them as much as I do and will consider purchasing one or more for this charity cause.

Once again, I will be announcing the charity of choice for this project in September, at which time I will place them in my Etsy shop for sale. Check back soon for updates!

In the meantime, here is my Youtube video for week one:

Sincerely,
Stephanie Oplinger
